How Poozada Chooses Products: Function Before Hype

How Poozada Chooses Products: Function Before Hype

Online retail offers an almost unlimited number of products.

That creates opportunity.

It also creates noise.

Poozada was built to reduce that noise.

We are not interested in building a catalog simply by adding as many products as possible.

Our goal is to build a useful system around active performance.

That system includes six categories:

Train. Support. Mobility. Recover. Sleep & Rest. Sport Tech Wear.

First: Does the Product Have a Clear Job?

Every product should solve an identifiable problem.

A resistance tool should help someone train.

A mobility tool should assist a mobility routine.

A support product should provide a specific form of support.

A recovery product should have a practical role after activity.

A sleep accessory should improve comfort or the sleep environment.

A piece of sport technology should provide information or functionality that the user can actually use.

If we cannot clearly explain why a product exists, it does not belong in the collection.

Second: Is the Claim Reasonable?

Sports and wellness products are frequently marketed with exaggerated claims.

“Instant recovery.”

“Prevent injuries.”

“Boost performance immediately.”

“Fix your posture.”

“Transform your body.”

Real human performance is more complicated than that.

Even commonly used tools such as compression garments have produced mixed results across scientific studies depending on the outcome being measured.

Wearables can help increase activity, but they cannot replace the behavior itself.

Foam rolling can improve range of motion, but results vary by protocol, muscle and joint.

Good products do not need impossible promises.

Third: Is It Practical?

A product can look impressive and still be inconvenient.

We consider how people will actually use it.

Can it fit naturally into a training routine?

Is it unnecessarily complicated?

Is it portable when portability matters?

Can the user understand its purpose?

Will someone realistically continue using it after the first week?

Practicality matters because consistency matters.

Fourth: Does It Fit the Poozada System?

We do not view our six categories as separate stores.

They form one performance ecosystem.

Train creates the stimulus.

Support assists the activity when appropriate.

Mobility keeps useful movement available.

Recover helps manage the period between sessions.

Sleep & Rest supports the foundation of recovery.

Sport Tech Wear provides useful feedback and functionality.

Together, they reflect how active people actually live.

Our Standard Is Simple

Poozada exists to make useful performance products easier to discover.

We research products, evaluate their practical purpose, work with vetted suppliers and fulfillment partners, and continue refining our catalog around the needs of active people.

We do not believe a gadget can replace discipline.

We believe the right tool can make disciplined action easier.

That is the type of product we want Poozada to be known for.
